"Hell no"
Slater told Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory when asked if he was ready for the World Title. "I was there for a decade, a whole decade. I might have a faction here, a faction there. I was in so many factions. I was always that little puzzle piece. I didn't see myself being champ. Why? Mentally, I wasn't there."
"The whole storyline with being a free agent was 'let me prove myself and get up to the IC ranks.' That's the one title I always wanted. That's the one title that all the greats actually held. I wasn't mentally ready. I wasn't even physically ready. I gave up in the gym too. Why do you think I was wearing my shirt? I wasn't promoting it," he said.
When asked if he believes he could be champion should he return to the promotion like his 3MB partners Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, Slater replied,
"I could be champ once, why not? But I enjoy wrestling. My entrance music hitting, me walking out, I enjoy the entertainment aspect more than anything. If I go back, I would want to fulfill my goal that I didn't fulfill the first time and that the IC title."

Ja ću reći da je ovo donekle i zatvoreni krug. Znao je on dobro podsvjesno da neće doći do te ic titule. A čemu se truditi kada znaš da trud neće biti nagrađen?

Damn it Cody!! He's got kids man...
Šalu na stranu, nije im on potreban, bolje za Slatera da ode negdje potpuno drugdje.

Slater on Nexus Summerslam loss: “We should have taken over. Period. We should have won. As soon as we lost, we shifted from fourth to second gear in one night. It was like, 'Damn, we worked this hard for this to happen? We couldn't wait til Mania so you could have a mega group destroy us?'”

“I remember Tanahashi came to FCW and this was a decade or so. It was when FCW finally got into the warehouse. He came down, I want to say he was with Yoshi [Tatsu], but he came down for a visit, you know, and just talked and shook hands and stuff, but then left and then, he was huge in Japan,” said Heath. “But I remember there, me and him just talking and stuff and he had like his hair, you know, cut weird and wild and stuff. But then I remember seeing his clips and everything and people reminded me that was him. I was like, 'oh, crap! Then he became the megastar over there. I would like to go and work him over there. I feel like that would be cool.”
“Another match is Kenny Omega. I worked him back in developmental days in Deep South and that was the only match me and him ever had. We were babies, you know, to where I like to work him again because this was only one time But then again, I feel like now, you know, with us being seasoned and matured and everything, I feel like we can kill it,” he’d say.

Would they be happy that he just appeared in a good segment on Raw as opposed to have been off TV for months? Or would they think the guy just got squashed in 20 seconds on Raw right before starting. I would say if this was the 80s or 90s, that would be the last thing I’d want for someone coming in, because you don’t want your new guy having the perception as being a guy who doesn’t even go one minute with a star reinforced. Today, it’s more debatable because he did so well on the promo. I think is Slater was going to AEW, it would have been a strong negative, but for Impact, it’s probably a very small positive or nothing at all.

Heath Miller on his injury: "The person at the hospital said I had a hernia. Then I went to a hernia specialist in Charlotte & he said it wasn’t a hernia. I ripped my abductor muscle off the bone & I slightly tore my groin...once I ripped my abductor muscle, they can only suture it back to the bone"
