WOR: Stomping Ground attendance was 4,000-4,500 paid
>It was previously reported that ticket sales for WWE Stomping Grounds, which happened last night, were ‘unusually low’ with WWE offering special deals to try to get the event to sell better. It seems that their efforts didn’t pay off as well as they may have hoped, as the attendance was reportedly low for the PPV. WWE did not announce an official attendance for the Tacoma Dome show, but there was still a “decent line” for walk-up tickets before it happened, according to Wrestling Inc. Meanwhile, free tickets were also given out yesterday.
>In the arena, half of the seats were curtained off to hide the fact that they were empty. On Twitter, DEFY Wrestling’s Matt Farmer said there were around 6,000 fans in attendance. In the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also heard it was 6,000, but said it was closer to 4,000 to 4,500 that paid. Bryan Alvarez added that tickets were given away at the mall earlier in the day. Farmer noted that there were “tons” of compted tickets and a lot of 2-for-1 deals were sold. The Tacoma Dome can hold 18,000 fans after production.
