Diskusije o New Japanu
On the new Observer Radio, Dave outright says that Anthem told NJPW they could stay on AXS if they started a working relationship with Impact. NJPW said no and so they got the boot.
New Japan assumed AXS were going to give them the boot...when their deal ended at the start of 2021. They figured they had that year to find a new US TV deal.

ako ne dogovore s aewom, mislim da im je ovo loš potez

Diskusije o New Japanu
I ovo:
Meltzer claims that things have changed re: a potential relationship between AEW/NJPW. He said that the NJPW/ROH relationship is still alive but NJPW is refusing to send over talent. He also noted how New Japan's attitude towards AEW has completely changed -- they went from never acknowleding AEW to now incorporating them in the Tanahashi/Jericho match (including mentioning that Jericho is AEW World Champ).
He said there is no deal as of yet but has heard there is a possibility of something happening. He also said that Tanahashi winning will be a big sign that something is happening with the two companies.

Očekivao sam nešto veliko da će se dogoditi na New Year Dashu ali nema veze, kvaliteta mečeva je bila bolja nego što inače bude na tom showu.
Kako stvari stoje, ovo su sljedeći feudovi i mečevi : Naito vs KENTA, Moxley vs Suzuki, Tanahashi/Ibushi vs Juice/Finlay, White vs SANADA, Okada vs Taichi, Goto vs Shingo, EVIL vs Ishii, Ospreay vs ZSJ...

Diskusije o New Japanu
On the most recent WOR, Dave Meltzer discussed what the plans for 2019 were in NJPW, had Kenny Omega not left.
Meltzer notes Omega would have beaten Tanahashi at WK13 and retained, and would have faced Okada at MSG, and would have either beaten him or retain due to another 60 minute draw.
Meltzer then notes the Double Gold Dash was always going to happen, but the final 4 would have been Okada vs Naito (Meltzer predicts Okada would have been IC champ in order to improve the prestige of the title), and Omega vs Ibushi.
Naito would have beaten Okada, and Omega would have beaten Ibushi, and Naito would go on to beat Omega, winning both belts and beating Okada and Omega in back-to-back nights, becoming double champ.
